How often should a boiler be serviced?
Once a year. Gas Safe and every major boiler manufacturer recommend an annual service to maintain warranty, combustion efficiency, and safety. An unserviced boiler typically fails far sooner.
How much does a boiler service cost?
Our boiler service is £90 to £140 plus VAT, depending on boiler type (combi, system, or conventional). The price we quote is the price you pay — no call-out fee, no hidden extras.
What is included in the service?
Full visual inspection, combustion analyser readings, flue test, gas pressure check, controls test, safety checks, and a signed Gas Safe service report for your warranty records. We clean any accessible components and flag anything that will need attention soon.
How long does a boiler service take?
Typically 45 minutes to 1 hour for a standard combi or system boiler. Older conventional boilers or awkward installations can take a little longer. We will tell you up-front if we expect it to exceed that.
Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes. All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. Our Gas Safe ID is available on request. We are also OFTEC registered for oil boiler servicing.
Do you service all boiler brands?
Yes — all major UK domestic boiler brands including Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Baxi, Ideal, Viessmann, Potterton, Glow-worm, Main, Alpha, Ferroli and others.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Our standard call-out and travel are always included in the price. Further afield is quoted separately before we book.
Could the final price be more than the quoted range?
For a standard boiler service, no — the price we agree is the price you pay. If the service reveals a fault needing separate repair, we explain it clearly, quote the repair separately, and only proceed with your approval.
