Emergency boiler repair FAQs

How quickly can you get to me in an emergency?

Gas Safe engineer on site within 2 hours. Phone answered within 20 minutes. We are available 24/7 for genuine emergencies — no heating, no hot water, gas leaks, boiler lockouts.

How much does an emergency boiler repair cost?

Out-of-hours emergency boiler repair is £180 to £600 plus VAT, which includes a priority-response premium. Standard-hours emergency call is £120 to £450 plus VAT (same as our typical boiler repair). We quote the fixed price before any work begins.

What counts as an emergency?

No heating in cold weather, no hot water, a gas smell, water leaking from the boiler, a boiler that has locked out with a fault code you cannot resolve, or a carbon monoxide alarm triggering. If in doubt, call us — phone answered within 20 minutes.

If I smell gas, what should I do first?

Turn off the gas at the meter if safe to do so, open windows, do not use electrical switches or open flames, leave the property, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 before calling us. Once the supply is safe, we can diagnose and repair the boiler fault.

Do you cover my area out of hours?

We cover our standard service area from Watford across Hertfordshire and North London — Tier 1 areas listed below. Out-of-hours response may be slower in edge-of-area locations; we will give you a realistic arrival window when you call.

Is there a call-out fee for emergency callouts?

No separate call-out fee. Our standard call-out and travel are included in the price. The emergency pricing reflects the priority-response premium, not a call-out fee on top.

Do you guarantee emergency work?

1-year parts guarantee on everything we fit, same as our standard service. Workmanship backed by our standards — if the repair does not resolve the fault, we return and fix it.

Could the final price be more than the quoted range?

For most emergency callouts the diagnosis is straightforward and the price we quote is the price you pay. If the initial fault reveals a second underlying problem (e.g. a failed flue sensor caused by a long-term blockage), we explain it, quote any additional work separately, and only proceed with your approval.
