Underfloor heating FAQs
What types of underfloor heating do you work on?
Both wet (water-based, connected to your heating system) and electric (mat or cable beneath the floor). Most common in new builds, extensions, bathrooms, and kitchens.
Which brands do you support?
All major UFH brands — Nu-Heat, Uponor, Polypipe, Warmup, Continal, Heatmiser controls. Retrofit smart controls (Heatmiser neo, Tado) integrate with existing systems.
My UFH has cold spots — is it a repair or replacement?
Usually a repair — cold spots typically mean a blocked manifold, failed zone valve, airlock, or pump issue. Full replacement is rare unless the pipework itself is damaged, which we would confirm on inspection.
How long does a UFH installation take?
Varies hugely with area. A single bathroom install: 1-2 days. A full ground-floor wet UFH install: 3-5 days. We quote per project after a site visit.
Do you install in retrofits / existing homes?
Yes — low-profile retrofit UFH systems can go on top of existing floors with minimal height gain. Works well in kitchens, bathrooms, and single-room upgrades.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Standard call-out and travel always included.
